Job summary
A leading healthcare provider in Malaysia is looking for a Procurement Officer to ensure accuracy in purchase requisitions and orders. The role involves monitoring procurement processes, resolving delivery issues, and ensuring good communication between vendors and departments. Candidates should possess at least SPM or equivalent, alongside strong communication and data tabulation skills.
Qualifications
- At least SPM or equivalent education is required.
- Professional license in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
- Good communication skills in both spoken and written English are essential.
Responsibilities
- Process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) accurately.
- Monitor approval status of PR and PO for timely delivery.
- Assist in resolving delivery discrepancies between vendors and departments.

Education
Responsibilities
- Processing of Purchase Requisition (PR) and Purchase Order (PO): ensure PRs are furnished with complete and accurate information and its supporting documents before proceeding to the PO for approval.
- To do price tabulation of simple quotations for checking the reasonableness of pricing quoted by the vendors, and proper justification of vendor selection by the Requesting Department.
- To monitor closely the approval status of PR and PO until emailing to the vendor, take prompt action to resolve any issue/problem.
- To monitor and follow up regularly the outstanding PR & PO for timely delivery of products and services for smooth operation of SunMed Companies until full completion or closure of PO transactions in Procurement System.
- To assist the Superior to resolve any gap of delivery, dispute or discrepancy by coordinating between Requesting Department and Vendor to ensure good quality products and services are delivered at time and quantity required for smooth operations of SunMed Companies.
Common or other tasks
- To perform other duties, coordinate or manage projects as instructed by Superior.
- To collect and update the Department Performance Measures for analysis and reporting into KPI, management and quality reports
Requirements
- Education Level: At least SPM or equivalent
- Professional license in any discipline relating to Procurement or Supply Chain Management would be an added advantage
- Computer literate and data tabulation skills
- Decent communication skills in both spoken and written English.
