Job description

As a Purchasing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's purchasing and procurement operations. Based in Kulim, Kedah, this full-time position is responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain to support the company's manufacturing and logistics activities.

1. Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and other supplies to meet production requirements.
2. Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, delivery times, and quality standards.
3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, and identify new potential suppliers.
4. Implement and monitor procurement policies, processes, and systems to enhance efficiency.
5. Analyze purchasing data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make recommendations to improve procurement strategies.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production and logistics, to align purchasing activities with business objectives.
7. Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing wastage.
8. Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team to drive continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and develop strategic procurement plans.
• Leadership skills to manage and develop a team.
• Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Kulim, Kedah.
