A leading engineering firm is seeking a Procurement Assistant based in Johor. In this role, you will assist with procurement tasks, liaise with suppliers, and ensure compliance with project requirements. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in construction procurement, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for construction projects (mainly warehouse and data center projects).
Liaise and coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.
Prepare and review purchase orders, quotation comparisons, and procurement documents.
Monitor and manage supplier performance and maintain accurate procurement records.
Assist in sourcing new suppliers and evaluating their reliability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements in all procurement activities.
Support the project team in managing material schedules and supply chain logistics.
Report to Procurement Manager or Project Manager on procurement status and updates.
Age: Below 35 years old
Have full working rights for Malaysia
Must have data center project experiences
Education: Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Procurement, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related fields
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in procurement, especially in construction projects
Industry Knowledge: Familiar with contruction materials, suppliers, and procurement procedures in construction (warehouse or data center projects is a plus)
Language: Good command of English (spoken and written)
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); able to prepare purchase orders and quotation comparisons
Other Requirements:
Must own a laptop
Must have own transport and valid driving license (if China no need)
Able to travel to project sites or supplier locations when necessary
Fast learner, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under pressure
Workdays: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Lunch Break: 1.5 hours (Lunch provided)
