A leading company in construction procurement is seeking a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager to manage purchasing activities. Procurement and Purchase, Sr Executive / Asst Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Identify suppliers for construction materials, negotiate terms, pricing, and payment conditions.
  • Purchase materials according to site requirements and purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
  • Resolve logistics issues such as delays, damages, shortages, etc.
  • Ensure timely delivery to prevent project delays.
  • Coordinate with finance to match invoices with purchase orders.
  • Work closely with project managers, site engineers, supervisors, and finance departments to align procurement with project needs.
  • Compile and analyze price comparisons of construction materials for management review.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and product availability.
  • Identify alternative materials or suppliers for better cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct market research to find competitive pricing and quality products.
  • Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for procurement.
  • Familiarity with accounting software like Autocount, SQL, etc. is advantageous.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Quantity Surveying, or related fields.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the construction industry.
