Summary
The Processes & Applications Manager 2 will perform tasks such as facilitating and mentoring improvement and/or transformation efforts, providing subject matter expertise, and coordinating training for CI certifications.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and mentor improvement and/or transformation efforts.
- Provide subject matter expertise on an as-needed basis.
- Coordinate training for CI certifications, including Value Stream Mapping.
- Participate in CI community, internally and externally.
- Set and implement strategic direction in SCM by designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining SCM applications, processes, and training.
- Lead the establishment of IT infrastructure to support Celestica's supply chain.
- Ensure robust and cost-effective IT infrastructure for SCM operations.
- Manage, lead, and develop a group of SCM employees.
- Establish performance metrics and drive continuous improvement of SCM processes.
- Develop and manage budgets for SCM applications, including hardware, software, and maintenance.
- Participate in setting strategic direction and provide support to the region for SCM applications.
Requirements
- Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies and measurement systems.
- Broad understanding of the global business environment and customers' business.
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing processes and integrated ERP applications.
- Working knowledge of e-Business processes, applications, and system integration.
- Strong cross-functional project and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to resolve very complex process and systems issues across sites and with the customer.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem-solve a variety of tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to effectively lead, manage, train, and motivate a diverse group of employees.
Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements are frequently required.
- Frequent overnight travel may be required.
Experience and Education
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or Materials Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
