Job Summary:

The Process Engineering Technician is responsible for performing assigned technical tasks, assisting with process development, generating visual instructions and procedures, completing duties on time, following document procedures, and maintaining compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Create manufacturing documentation to support manufacturing, testing, and production operations.
  2. Create simple tools, fixtures, and jigs to support production.
  3. Assist Process Engineers with tasks needed for daily manufacturing operations.
  4. Initiate troubleshooting, conduct root cause analysis, and identify solutions for production problems or NPI projects.
  5. Coordinate communication with Production Operators or Process Engineers regarding root cause analysis and findings.
  6. Support Continuous Improvement activities such as Yield and Cycle Time improvements.
  7. Assist in quoting and requesting P.O. for new equipment, fixtures, and tools.
  8. Support investigations of non-conforming materials.
  9. Support and perform validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) led by Process Engineers.
  10. Perform ongoing verification of manufacturing equipment to ensure proper functioning and validated state.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Superior.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in Production Sustaining and/or New Product Introduction Projects.
  • Skills in basic electronics and/or mechanical design.
  • Ability to communicate in Malay (written and oral) and basic English.
  • Basic data analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with optical/electro-mechanical assembly and testing.
  • Troubleshooting skills for electronic and mechanical equipment.
  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Knowledge of ISO-13485 standards.
Education:

Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Electrical, Electronics, or higher.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

This position primarily involves work in a production environment, requiring frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of computers and digital devices is necessary. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
