Job Description:-

• Rotating 12 hours day and night shift and rest days under condition that the average number of hours worked over any period of three weeks shall not exceed forty-five per week.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Fulfills verbal and written orders of HOD within the established timeframe and with due quality.
• Ensures the completeness, reliability and timeliness of the job performed.
• When moved to another position, removed from the position or is planning a long absence from the work place (business trip or annual leave), employee must hand over the outstanding matters to one’s upcoming permanent or temporary replacement, or to one’s immediate supervisor, on the last day before either of the above events would take effect.
• Strictly complies with the Company’s confidentiality policy.
• Strictly observes the laws of Malaysia and the Company’s internal regulations.
• Performs one’s job duties in line with the Company standards requirements.
• Must be actively involved in risk management planning and realization. Timely reports to one’s immediate supervisor of work situations likely to bring about risks. Manages one’s department’s work so as to steadily reduce the department’s and the Company’s vulnerability to the risk impact.
• Must be actively involved in the Company’s Integrated management system implementation and improvement within one’s job scope, in line with the procedures and requirements of the said Integrated management system ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949.
• Acknowledge & record every plant activity in logbook & perform an effective work handover.
• Regularly monitor & record on-site plant parameters in log sheets & keep accordingly.
• Carry out detail plant patrol & inspection to identify any abnormal process condition & equipment.
• Identify, record & inform any abnormality to Shift Supervisor & take necessary action to ensure a smooth plant operation & quality.
• Carry out any plant activity with compliance to health, safety & environment policy.
• Perform in-process sampling properly & acknowledge the obtained quality result & its specification.
• Do process analysis & troubleshoot in order to detect & overcome a process & quality issue.
• Acknowledge, evaluate & supervise maintenance activity to safely meet the deadline.
• Conform to instructions given by Shift Supervisor, Engineer & Manager to achieve target productivity, efficiency & quality.
• Involve in training & assessment perform by Shift Supervisor, Engineer & Manager.
• Lead by example, train & evaluate junior technician performance to yield a great attitude, skills & knowledge employee.
• Always maintain a good communication with DCS operator & Shift Supervisor.
• Practice a good housekeeping attitude to have a safe working environment throughout plant area.

Requirements:-

• At least 3-4 years of working experience in the related field (petrochemical/oleochemical/chemical/refinery) is required for this position.
• Experience in plant commissioning and start-up
• Has a fair knowledge in distributed control system (DCS)
