Process Technician

Purpose Statement

Part of the core team to respond to equipment, yield, and process-related issues, and to implement corrective and preventative actions to eliminate repeat instances.

Job Responsibilities

1. Work with Manufacturing Engineers in developing, troubleshooting, standardizing, and improving existing production methods and procedures.
2. Work on electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and electronic hardware interfacing.
3. Maintain a critical spares inventory for key maintenance items to minimize downtime.
4. Assist Manufacturing Engineers in investigating and implementing new production methods.
5. Assist in designing methods, sourcing parts, and documentation.
6. Perform equipment qualifications and validations, including report writing.
7. Design, specify, manufacture, test, and document production equipment, changes, and improvements.
8. Interface with BSIL personnel and outside vendors as necessary.
9. Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures within an assigned process or area.
10. Report any concerns regarding environmental impact, health, or safety issues to the manager.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
• Skills required: equipment maintenance, qualification, critical thinking, problem solving.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in equipment or testers; experience with tester preventive maintenance is an advantage. Electronic knowledge is essential.
• Spare parts management skills and proficiency with Pivot.
