Job description

Our client is a leading automotive manufacturing company, currently seeking a Manufacturing Improvement Coordinator to drive improvements in processes, products, and equipment. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a passion for manufacturing excellence.

Location: Sungai Buloh, Selangor

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure continuous improvement of processes, products, and equipment. Lead, educate, and develop PI's, acting as a link with Manufacturing Excellence.
  • Plan and support training material development, delivery, and implementation of knowledge.
  • Assess PI's competencies and plan training to bridge gaps.
  • Ensure data-driven approaches using proper tools and standardized methods across teams.
  • Support plant towards manufacturing excellence by minimizing gaps against best practices.
  • Participate in ME 360 assessments and coordinate 3K savings projects.
  • Support implementation of global/regional programs like CCP PVB, TOCR, SMED.
  • Participate in NMI/NPI processes, ensuring adherence to protocols.
  • Identify production needs and contribute to new product/process development.
  • Assist in defining production requirements and validating new equipment.
  • Support R&D, technology testing, and drive digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or electronic engineering or equivalent.
  • Competence in Black Belt+ methodologies, data-driven decision-making, and technical knowledge.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with good communication skills.
  • Experience with key processes, Six Sigma belts, and supervisory skills.
  • Preferably 4-5 years of relevant experience; familiarity with automotive industry is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel.
