Job summary

Aspen Pumps Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks an engineer to analyze processes and drive quality, productivity, and cost improvements using Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma. You will support transferring manufacturing processes to Malaysia and work with global teams on specifications and timelines.

The role requires a manufacturing/industrial engineering background and 2–3 years in consumer/electronic assembly environments, with Mandarin as a plus, and strong data-driven judgment for improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing/ Industrial/ Mechatronic/ Mechanical/ E&E) or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in consumer goods assembly/electronic manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to converse in Mandarin is a plus.
• Data-driven judgement for improvement activities.
• Knowledge of Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with IPC-610 standards is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and provide recommendations for quality improvements, productivity improvements and cost reduction using data.
• Define opportunities for improvement using Kaizen based on objectives like productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Deploy Lean Six Sigma to enhance process capability, yield, productivity and product quality.
• Contribute to documentation for process FMEA and process control plan.
• Develop work instructions, visual aids and critical control parameters.
• Support transfer of manufacturing processes to Malaysia and ensure smooth transition and quality compliance.
• Train production and quality teams for process enhancement and duties.
• Collaborate with global teams to align technical specs, quality standards, and timelines.
• Provide technical expertise for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and process validation.
