Job description

Process Engineering Manager - Batu Kawan

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Engineering Manager located in Batu Kawan, Penang.

This position is responsible for managing a team of process engineers working on early customer technology roadmaps in areas such as early characterization, assembly, rework, solder joint reliability, and optimizing manufacturing processes and products to enhance efficiency, quality, and throughput.

What a typical day looks like:

  1. Conduct heatsink DFM for mechanical measurement, focusing on tolerance and interference validation, using different torque settings and screw spring forces.
  2. Understand Thermal Interface Materials for heatsink assembly and conduct assembly validation.
  3. Manage and conduct SMT DOE builds with knowledge of stencil design, reflow process, and X-ray inspection.
  4. Manage a team of engineers and technicians to establish and maintain statistical process control systems.
  5. Establish and improve process capabilities.
  6. Develop and maintain process documentation.
  7. Manage development projects to meet customer product specifications, delivery, and cost expectations.
  8. Collaborate with engineering team members to design manufacturable new products.
  9. Improve throughput in constrained areas.
  10. Develop, test, and implement new materials and processes for better performance or lower costs, and manage cost reduction efforts.
  11. Coordinate initiatives to increase throughput, reduce costs, and improve performance.
  12. Implement HR strategies to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years in Process Engineering or related experience.
  • Hands-on experience with heatsink assembly and validation.
  • Knowledge of strain measurement methodologies.
