Job summary

Flex is seeking a Process Engineer Manager for its PTP site in Johor to lead a team of engineers and technicians, driving SPC systems, process capability improvements, and cost reductions. You will manage projects meeting product specs, delivery targets, and cost constraints while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design manufacturable products.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of engineering experience with supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, including supervision.
• Demonstrates functional, technical and people/process management skills.
• Experienced in leading major initiatives and provides input to those initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers and technicians to establish and maintain statistical process control systems.
• Establish and improve process capabilities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Manage development projects that meet customer specifications, delivery, and cost expectations.
• Work with other engineering team members to design manufacturable products.
• Improve throughput in constrained areas.
• Develop, test, and implement new materials and processes for improved performance and/or lower cost and manage cost reduction efforts in assigned process areas.
• Coordinate initiatives to increase throughput, reduce costs and improve performance in constrained areas.
• Implement HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

What a typical day looks like

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, including supervision.
• Demonstrates functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
• Demonstrates expertise and knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
• Executes and provides input into functional plans and objectives for the site.
• Experienced in leading major initiatives and provides input to those initiatives.
