Job summary

Flex is seeking a Process Engineering Manager in Batu Kawan, Penang. You will lead a team of process engineers to optimize processes, ensure SPC adherence, and advance manufacturing capabilities to meet customer specs and cost targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and about 8 years of process engineering and managerial experience, with responsibilities spanning project leadership, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive throughput and efficiency.

• Typically requires minimum 8 years of process engineering and prior managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers and technicians to establish and maintain statistical process control systems.
• Establish and improve process capabilities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation.
• Manage development projects that meet customer product specifications, delivery, and cost expectations.
• Work with other engineering team members to design new products that can be manufactured.
• Improve throughput in constrained areas.
• Develop, test, and implement new materials and processes for improved performance and/or lower cost and manage cost reduction efforts in assigned process areas.
• Coordinate initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas.
• Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing a team of process engineers working on improving process engineering capabilities to support a specific area of a manufacturing organization.

What a typical day looks like:
