Job description

Process Optimization: Analyse and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, OEE, Yield, and reduce scrap.

Technical Support: Troubleshoot technical-related issues and provide solutions to on-hold quality materials.

Product Quality: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure production follows product work instructions and update related SOPs.

Production Support: Provide technical support to manufacturing teams, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and minimize downtime.

New Product Introduction (NPI): Assist Engineering in the smooth introduction of new products into production, including process development, tooling, and documentation.

Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and make recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Documentation: Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.

Perform engineering drawing translation from Mandarin to English.

Health and Safety: Ensure that manufacturing processes adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices.

  • Review and approve material first article.
  • SOP/Work Instruction preparation.
  • Equipment/Tooling PR preparation.
  • Perform build evaluation and report generation.
Job Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies is an advantage.
Job Responsibilities :
  • Lead a team of QA Inspectors / Technicians and Supervisors, assign jobs, and organize tasks.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of products to verify conformance with specifications or customer requirements.
  • Support execution of First Article Inspection, adhering to customer-approved protocols and specifications.
  • Outline product inspection criteria and characteristics, prepare work instructions, and highlight caution points.
  • Provide training and technical support for product inspection criteria.
  • Work with Engineering, Incoming Quality, and relevant departments for failure analysis, engineering changes, and customer complaints.
  • Compile daily yield, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
  • Liaise with customers on issues such as complaints, technical inquiries, sampling plans, specifications, and quality issues.
  • Support failure analysis with inter-departmental collaboration.
  • Compile 8D / CAPA reports for customer quality complaints.
  • Review, support, ensure accuracy, and approve documents or reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers on quality matters.
Authority :
  • Qualify and approve new products before submission to customers.
  • Propose procedures/instructions and product realization plans for implementation.
  • Review and approve actions on all quality matters within responsibility.
  • Evaluate and propose disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Stop production when nonconformance to customer requirements is identified.
Job Qualifications :
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Experience in quality engineering or assurance preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, evaluate solutions, and implement effective actions promptly.
  • Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving industry, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
