Overview

We are currently looking for a Process Engineer for a leading player in the Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Industry for their expansion. This company has a legacy of more than 50 years in Malaysia. This position requires your urgent attention.

Based in Selangor • Expansion role

Role

As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for improving and optimizing manufacturing processes to achieve high efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality, to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and support new product introductions.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve yield, cycle time, and overall efficiency.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing robust process flows, conducting trials, and ensuring smooth transition to mass production.
  • Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure compliance with ISO/industry standards.
  • Prepare and maintain key process documentation, including Work Instructions, SOPs, FMEA, and control plans.
  • Lead cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or DOE methodologies.
  • Provide technical training and support to production staff.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvement measures.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors on process-related matters when required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in semiconductor, electronics, precision manufacturing, or relevant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DOE, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Excel).
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, process validation, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Familiar with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
