Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Malaysia is seeking a qualified candidate for an engineering role focused on wastewater treatment systems. Responsibilities include developing process designs, performing hydraulic calculations, and ensuring compliance with industry guidelines. Candidates should have a relevant diploma or degree, proficient skills in Microsoft Office, and a basic understanding of wastewater treatment systems. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in wastewater/process design preferred.
• Basic understanding of STP/WWTP systems.
• Knowledge of SPAN guidelines is an advantage.

We are representing our client aMalaysian engineering specializing in the environmental and wastewater treatment industry. The company focuses on the design, fabrication, installation, and servicing of mechanical equipment for sewage and wastewater treatment plants.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop process design and mass balance for STP/WWTP system
• Perform hydraulic loading calculations and tank sizing.
• Ensure system complies with SPAN guidelines and approved technologies (EA, SBR, etc.)
• Assist in preparing technical documentation for tender submissions.
• Attend site visits to gather operational data and validate design assumptions.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and internal design team on technical matters.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or related Engineering field
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in wastewater/process design preferred
• Basic understanding of STP/WWTP systems (e.g. EA, SBR)
• Knowledge of SPAN guidelines is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD is a plus
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Willing to travel for site visits when required.

Job details:

• Working hours: Mon-Fri (9.00am-6.00pm)
