A leading glass manufacturing company in Kulim, Malaysia, seeks a Production Project Manager to improve existing processes and support new product development. The successful candidate will coordinate production tests, manage documentation, and oversee various projects to ensure quality and efficiency. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and external service providers.
Develops process and production concepts for improvement of existing processes, implementation of new processes or new products. Executes process and production line optimization. Prepares requirement and performance specifications for machines and devices for production of new products for peripheral devices in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and agrees upon those with customers. Prepares cost and time schedules and monitors their compliance. Catches up on the state of the art and future development via internal and external contacts.
Identifies necessary production processes and capacities. Agrees upon technical requirements for production lines. Prepares concepts and implements these together with our technical team. Prepares performance specifications and requirement profiles for technical production lines and equipment.
Supports development department in dimensioning of new products and production processes due to lean aspects during the development process to ensure an optimized serial production. Plans and coordinates in the process the construction of optimized workplaces.
Plans, coordinates and controls production tests and putting into service of new production lines and processes in corporation with production. Launches new production lines into production in corporation with productions.
Prepares engineering data files such as manufacturing instructions, manuals, process plans, etc.
Participates in purchasing negotiations with suppliers. Decides on execution of maintenance and repair works by external authorities, chooses external service providers and evaluates their performance.
Oversees different initiatives or projects, monitors their progress and completion, and ensures that they meet the expectations of sponsor. Working closely with project members to ensure project goals achieve in-term of cost, time and quality. Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information based on the MPM rules defined.
It is required to establish effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution, facilitating changes request to ensure all parties are informed.
Responsible for coordinating the development of user manual, training material and other documentation needed to enable successful implementation.
