Job description
Process Engineer (Based in Pasir Gudang)

Processing improvement to increase productivity and efficiency without compromising product quality and safety.

Production Operations Management
  • Improve operation cost of existing operation by means of productivity and efficiency improvement.
  • Monitor the daily performance of the production and review plant process integrity.
  • Daily Production Meeting with supporting department as when needed.
Human Resource Management
  • Ensure department production is cost effective. Optimize resource utilization by implementation of an effective organization.
  • Cultivating a disciplined, skilled, and motivated production team through training and development initiatives.
Occupational, Food, Safety and Health Administration
  • Overseeing the housekeeping and 5S.
  • Safeguarding Occupational Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards for the workforce.
  • Food Safety Reporting: Report food safety concerns or issues in the workplace to superiors.
Documentation and compliance's
  • Responsible for the implementation and maintaining of all relevant certification systems inclusive ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000/ ISO 9001/ MS 1480 system and all department documentations and ensure department compliance to the above mention systems. Including of compliance to established statutory and regulatory requirement.
  • As Lead Auditee for certification / renewal audits and customer audits.
  • Ensure HACCP Critical Control Points CCP 3 is validated by the Machine Suppliers as schedule so that machines detection integrity is not compromised.
  • Ensure OPRP 1, 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 Programs are validated as schedule.
  • Prepare daily / monthly reports as per requested.
Quality Management and compliance's
  • To ensure all production rejects are systematically analyzed and corrective action take to minimize or eliminate rejects. Support production failure investigation and recommend solution. Assist in investigation production on-line problem and provide solution.
  • Analyze major customer complaints / non-conformance's and execute corrective actions.
Training and Development
  • Training: Conduct periodic training and coaching to production team member.
  • Kaizen development: Assist the production / technician team to conduct new product runs / trial runs and process improvement. Review validations on approved process.
Ad hoc Assignment
  • Prepare to work abnormal hours in short notice and when needed.
  • To perform other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
Requirements & Qualifications

Degree in process or chemical engineering with experience relevant to the food manufacturing processes.

Skills
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing procedures with a focus on production optimization.
  • Excellent coordination skills to foster collaboration across departments.
  • Proficiency in quality assurance and control methods, with the ability to devise and implement cost-effective programs in line with manufacturing standards.
  • Effective leadership, team management, and training skills to cultivate a skilled and motivated production team.
  • Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, with a commitment to ensuring compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address any production-related issues.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a successful track record in plant processing operations.

Demonstrated expertise in overseeing manufacturing procedures, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality production.
