Job summary

Sweep Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to guide manufacturing activities, improve plant layouts, and coordinate process improvements. The role emphasizes lean methods, MTM/SMED knowledge, and compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Interest in improving assembly processes, equipment specs, and working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve safe, efficient production. English and Bahasa communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing / Mechatronics Engineering.
• 2 to 3 years experience in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering.
• Exposure to Quality and Environmental systems.
• Prior exposure to Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
• Exposed to MTM or SMED methodologies.
• Prior manufacturing process improvement accomplishments preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication in English & Bahasa.

Responsibilities

• Guide and coordinate manufacturing activities including plant layout and suitable manufacturing process steps.
• Determine assembly time, layout, capacity and capability studies.
• Provide specifications for manufacturing equipment standards and recommendations for equipment procurement.
• Develop assembly aids and fixtures.
• Improve plant and process layout for new and existing products.
• Lead or participate in manufacturing footprint analysis and continuous improvement (lean, OEE, energy conservation).
• Improve work methods and equipment to achieve a safer workplace.
• Liaise with local authorities on related compliance (Bomba, JKKP, DOE, MPSJ).
• Participate in EMS (ISO 14001), QMS (ISO 9001) and OSHA implementations.

Job description

Guides and coordinates manufacturing activities such as plant layout, suitable manufacturing process steps, material flow layout and etc.

Responsible to use any industrial engineering methods to determine the assembly time, layout, capacity and capability studies.

Provides specifications for manufacturing equipment standards and recommendations for equipment procurement.

Responsible to develops assembly aids and fixtures.

Continue to improve the plant and process layout for new and existing products.

Participates and/or leads activities for manufacturing footprint analysis such as continuous improvement on manufacturing process, lean manufacturing, overall equipment effectiveness, energy conservation process etc.

Provides input to improve work methods and equipment to achieve a safer work place.

Facilities management and liaise with local authorities on related compliance (Bomba, JKKP, DOE, MPSJ and etc).

Involve in the implementation, maintenance and improvement for ISO 14001 (EMS), ISO 9001 (QMS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) in the company.

Job Requirements

2 to 3 years experienced in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering

Exposure to Quality and Environmental system

Prior exposure to and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is preferred

Exposed and experience in “MTM” or “SMED” methodology

Prior manufacturing process improvement accomplishments preferred

Strong oral and written communication skillsin English & Bahasa
