We are seeking a new college engineering graduate to join our SWK substrate plant polishing department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process Optimization: Improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.
• Quality Control: Develop and implement methods to ensure products meet specifications and standards consistently. Collaborate with other departments.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in manufacturing processes to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.
• Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks in manufacturing processes and implement measures to mitigate them, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly review processes and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and implement changes accordingly. Incorporate new technologies, materials, and methods to enhance existing workflows, stay ahead of industry advancements.
• Equipment Optimization: Collaborate with Maintenance and Equipment teams to optimize equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive maintenance programs. Recommend equipment upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of processes, procedures, and changes to facilitate analysis, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including production, equipment engineering, development, quality, and management to address challenges and implement improvements.
• Training: Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes, equipment, and procedures to ensure effective implementation and adherence to standards.

REQUIRED

• Master in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process optimization techniques, and quality management systems.
• Proficiency in process simulation software, statistical analysis tools and 8D problem solving methodology.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
