A leading company in manufacturing in Johor seeks a process engineer to enhance existing processes and drive improvement initiatives. The role demands a technical background in engineering and experience in manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will engage in quality optimization and collaborate with management to meet objectives while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing process or related field.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Job description

1. Responsible for process engineering activities to address all process issues for existing and new processes.

2. Initiate and lead quality, cost, time optimization, and productivity improvement activities (Continuous Improvement) for existing processes.

3. Explore and develop new opportunities for production enhancement.

4. Support production with technical expertise.

5. Review and analyze the performance of various procedures within the company and recommend improvements.

6. Assist in planning and executing process improvement projects.

7. Provide consultation on re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.

8. Optimize or redesign process flows to meet project requirements.

9. Collaborate with management to define short-term and long-term objectives and identify potential gains.

10. Maintain 5S standards and ensure safety protocols are followed.

11. Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or Diploma/equivalent (Mechatronic is an advantage)
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing process or related field
  • Strong technical background
  • Knowledge of lean management and QCC is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Auto-CAD and PLC programming is an advantage
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player
