To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Process Engineer located in Flex PTP.

Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes by providing technical support and maintaining manufacturing methods during the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Recognize manufacturing processes, technologies, techniques, and the product.
  • Define, implement, and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability.
  • Identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process, independently or with other engineering stakeholders.
  • Participate in daily production activities and solve daily issues effectively.
  • Prepare justification, purchase, and implement capital equipment for production.
  • Oversee new process equipment production.
  • Manage engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters.
  • Develop, implement, and own process control methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues.
  • Participate in cycle time and process improvement activities.
  • Evaluate and select engineered materials.
  • Implement statistical process research on new and existing products.
  • Implement safety, productivity, and efficiency improvements.
  • Improve manufacturing techniques and throughput.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation.
  • Review processing methods.
  • Interface with production activities related to new process implementation and transfer.
  • Assist in developing and providing training during new technology transfer.
  • Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as needed.
  • Guide cost improvement and reduction programs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
  • Typically 3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency with tools for electronic assembly, PCB operations, testing, inspection, and mechanical & electrical tools.
