Job summary

STMicroelectronics Sdn Bhd seeks a Process Development Engineer to set up and optimize AP/Plasma/Descum processes for new packages in a fast‑paced semiconductor environment.

You will develop, characterize and industrialize these processes, generate specs, SOPs and control plans, and provide technical support for critical quality issues. Strong teamwork and production familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• More than 3 years working experience.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Mechatronics / Semiconductor Technology or equivalent.
• Skilled in statistical data analysis and problem solving, especially AP/Plasma/Descum processes.
• Familiar with 8D, DMAIC, Process Mapping and Fishbone methodologies.
• Ability to anticipate issues and collaborate in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up AP/Plasma/Descum processes for new packages.
• Develop and industrialize AP/Plasma/Descum processes to meet quality and yield goals.
• Support engineering samples assembly for new packages or technologies.
• Characterize AP/Plasma/Descum processes and materials.
• Generate and update process specifications, SOPs, FMEA and control plans.
• Provide technical support for critical quality concerns related to AP/Plasma/Descum.

YOUR ROLE

• To setup AP/Plasma/Descum Process.
• To develop and to industrialize AP/Plasma/Descum process for new packages, introduce materials to meet the quality, yield and mission of new application.
• To support assembly of engineering sample for new packages or new technologies.
• To characterize AP/Plasma/Descum process and materials.
• To generate and update process specifications, SOP, FMEA and process control plan.
• To provide technical support when there is critical quality concerns related to AP/Plasma/Descum process.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

• More than 3 years working experience.
• Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Microelectronics / Mechatronics / Semiconductor Technology, Material science) or equivalent.
• Equipped with statistical data analysis, analytical and problem-solving skills especially at AP/Plasma/Descum process.
• Systematic Problem-Solving methodology e.g., 8D, DMAIC, Process Mapping, Fish Bond, Is/is not…etc.
• Ability to anticipate issues and challenges and resolving them quickly. Good knowledge and skills in production area.
• Practice high performance behavior and together work as Team in executing projects & strive for excellent.
