Job summary

Celestica seeks an Operations Engineering Associate to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, with a focus on managing the Engineering Change (EC) process and seamless change implementation from customers and internal teams.

The role requires analyzing ECs in SAP, maintaining BOM routing, updating AVL and part numbers, and coordinating ECO/CCB meetings. On-site work in Senai is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in operations engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work on-site in Senai, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer change requests from Matrix ECs to determine site impact.
• Decide the disposition for released ECs and monitor system updates for HALB and FERT items.
• Process all internal and external ECN requests and coordinate activities with Work Cell staff.
• Bridge Matrix ECs in SAP based on depletion dates, verify bridging, and check for IDoc errors.
• Maintain BOM routing and component allocation to ensure 100% BOM accuracy.
• Update SAP for AVL, new part numbers, and technical drawings.
• Refresh routing for all MIP releases.
• Maintain input placement for planning assembly releases based on engineering decisions.
• Chair weekly customer ECO meetings and coordinate daily/weekly CCB meetings.
• Resolve system issues and liaise with IT support for BOM-related problems.

A primary focus of this role is managing the Engineering Change (EC) process, ensuring seamless implementation of changes from both customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

Analyze customer change requests from Matrix ECs to determine site impact

Decide the disposition for released ECs and monitor system updates for HALB (semi-finished) and FERT (finished) items

Process all internal and external Engineering Change Notice (ECN) requests and coordinate activities with Work Cell staff

Bridge Matrix ECs in SAP based on depletion dates, verify the accuracy of bridging, and check for IDoc errors

Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) routing and component allocation to ensure 100% BOM accuracy

Update SAP for AVL (Approved Vendor List), new part numbers, and technical drawings

Refresh routing for all Manufacturing Information Package (MIP) releases

Maintain input placement for planning assembly releases based on engineering decisions

Chair weekly customer ECO (Engineering Change Order) meetings and coordinate daily/weekly Change Control Board (CCB) meetings

Resolve system issues and liaise with IT support for BOM-related problems
