PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia, a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan, Penang. Construction began in May 2021, with the first series of production expected in 2023. This expansion is driven by the forecasted growth in semiconductor components, supporting Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany. PgP5 focuses on final testing of components manufactured in Dresden and will include R&D and training facilities.

Job Description
- Interface and responsibility for all System-IC Handler and Manipulator including contacting unit.
- Responsible for pre-acceptance and release of machines, including setup, fine-tuning, sustaining, and maintenance.
- Perform maintenance as per the maintenance plan and calibrate machines.
- Analyze downtime reasons, repair mechanically, electrically, and electronically, and release equipment according to engineering specifications.
- Set up new recipes and conversions for new products.
- Localize failures on measurement boards and PCBs, and repair boards.
- Align equipment mechanically and electrically according to supplier specifications.
- Adopt and extend circuit diagrams based on engineering specifications.
- Coordinate with equipment suppliers regarding appointments, questions, and monitor due dates. Engage in technical discussions with suppliers and engineering teams.
- Develop measures to reduce failures, improve quality and output, and reduce costs in collaboration with engineering.
- Support improvement activities, contribute suggestions to enhance production KPIs such as CT/Output, Yield/OEE, Budget/Cost, and failure reduction (MTBF, MTTR, downtimes), and improve quality.
- Support and train operators/technicians as per Work Instructions and execute maintenance activities.
- Take 8D responsibility and manage lot dispositions.
- Coordinate changes with lead plant engineering.
- Work in production environment.
- Support FMEA and Control Plan development.
- Ensure spare parts availability.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 1-5 years of engineering experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and transfer technical knowledge.
- Ability to analyze and repair PCBs and equipment.
- Mechanical, electrical, and electronic skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Poka-yoke concepts.
- Ability to discuss technical issues with suppliers and engineering teams.
- Ability to instruct operators.
- Organizational skills for projects and team management.
- Understanding of the relationship between quality, cost, and delivery.
