Bybit, established in 2018, is a leading cryptocurrency exchange serving millions of users worldwide. We are seeking a backend observability specialist to develop and maintain our monitoring platform, covering metrics, logs, and tracing, while driving stability initiatives across a global scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Java backend development experience.
• Proficient with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry.
• Familiar with MySQL, Redis, Kafka.
• Familiar with streaming engines: Flink or Spark Streaming.
• Familiar with storage/query engines such as Thanos, Druid, ClickHouse.
• Familiar with Kubernetes and Docker in cloud-native environments.
• Strong system design and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in stability governance or monitoring platform development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the exchange monitoring and alerting platform.
• Build the observability system covering Metrics, Logs, and Tracing.
• Optimize capabilities such as alert noise reduction, distributed tracing, and anomaly analysis.
• Drive system stability initiatives, including SLA management, monitoring coverage, incident detection, and emergency response.
• Continuously improve the monitoring platform's performance, availability, and user experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of the exchange monitoring and alerting platform;
• Responsible for building the observability system covering Metrics, Logs, and Tracing;
• Responsible for optimizing capabilities such as alert noise reduction, distributed tracing, and anomaly analysis;
• Drive system stability initiatives, including SLA management, monitoring coverage, incident detection, and emergency response;
• Continuously improve the monitoring platform's performance, availability, and user experience.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Java backend development experience;
• Proficient with observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, SkyWalking / OpenTelemetry;
• Familiar with common infrastructure components including MySQL, Redis, and Kafka;
• Familiar with stream/batch processing engines such as Flink or Spark Streaming;
• Familiar with storage engines such as Thanos, Druid, and ClickHouse;
• Familiar with microservice architecture and cloud-native ecosystems including Kubernetes and Docker;
• Strong system design and troubleshooting skills;
• Experience in stability governance or monitoring platform development is a plus.
