Principal Supplier Quality Engineer

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with electronic component suppliers, monitoring and improving their quality performance.
• Understand and proactively address internal customer requirements and concerns, analyzing issues and recommending effective solutions.
• Independently lead projects/feature changes that positively impact organizational functions.
• Participate in and support supplier assessments, qualifications, and yearly audits (both local and overseas).
• Support and align with global and regional commodity strategies.
• Serve as an effective technical resource for product/process/service support across various teams, providing technical assistance to multi-functional groups as needed.
• Contribute to achieving departmental goals and strategy.

Who You Are: Act as the primary point of contact for production regarding supplier quality issues related to both mechanical and electronic component parts. Liaise between suppliers and R&D for NPI activities, quality improvements, and engineering changes.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Management and Manufacturing Operations (from incoming, SMT, Wave to Back End Assembly).
• Experience with Supplier Audits, Supplier Quality Improvement, and Root Cause Analysis is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Prior experience in handling manufacturing issues is an added advantage.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate between various departments and external suppliers.
• Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering field, preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
