Job summary

Dell Malaysia is seeking a Principal, Supplier Process Engineer to manage suppliers’ technical development and product quality for mechanical parts across L10 and L11 factories. You will collaborate with Dell engineering teams to root cause issues and coordinate with procurement on performance and risk mitigation, while enabling career development opportunities.

The role offers exposure to supplier audits, quality tools, and a broad range of manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field with 3–5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or similar quality role.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to convey technical quality issues to internal teams and suppliers.
• Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers across various commodity categories.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced production environments and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive self-starter with focus on identifying, mitigating, and preventing quality risks.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or a similar quality role.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical quality issues to both internal teams and external suppliers.
• Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers simultaneously across various commodity categories.
• Capable of working under pressure in fast-paced production environments while meeting tight deadlines.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, preferably within server, data center, or rack-level hardware environments, with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, die casting, and mechanical assembly.
• Proficient in quality engineering methodologies and tools, including GD&T, mechanical inspection, metrology, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and Control Plans, with willingness to travel to supplier sites as required.
