Software International Corporation in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead and participate in custom application development and maintenance for large corporations. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in software application development along with strong skills in RDBMS analysis, Angular or ReactJS.

Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Participate in custom enterprise application development and maintenance for large corporations both within Asia and worldwide.
• Participate in the software development life-cycle.
• Lead the development, design, and implementation of applications and changes to existing information systems and software packages.
• Perform system analysis, design, testing, system integration and documentation whenever necessary.
• Provide recommendations and to assist in the preparation of project plans, time and resource estimates, task tracking, reporting & completion to deadline of assigned tasks or team, and priorities.
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with middle management team internal & external stakeholders.
• Guide, mentor & train the team to deliver and carve the career growth plans for your team.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Management as and when required.
• Candidate must possess a relevant qualification in Software Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years working experience in software application development relevant to the following skill sets:
• RDBMS analysis and design (DB2, Oracle, MS-SQL etc.)
• Nice to have:
• Angular or ReactJS
• Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban or similar)
• Insurance knowledge
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, as the role requires frequent communication with Hong Kong clients
• Possess at least a Degree in IT or equivalent.
