Key Responsibilities
- Drive complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. Work is expected to result in the development of new or refined technologies, products, materials, processes, equipment, and/or scientific methods, potentially broadening BSC’s Intellectual Property in key strategic areas.
- Serve as a key resource or expert in technology development, product design and development, process design and development, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, and report preparation.
- Provide guidance to product, process, and technology teams.
- Influence decisions regarding alternative engineering processes, products, or equipment.
- Drive project goals and progress, and recommend appropriate revisions.
- Lead complex cross-functional teams or act as an internal consultant to ensure successful project completion.
- Train, mentor, and/or provide work direction to technicians and engineers.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing/process engineering; prior experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
- Required skills: Problem Solving, analytical skills, project management, critical thinking, NPI, people leadership.
- Experience in product transfer is an advantage.
