Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Principal Engineer for the APTD Process Control System to lead startup, development, and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes.

You will drive yield improvements, cost reduction, and reliability using SPC, FDC, APC, and AI-driven controls. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, data analysis, and integration of Industry 4.0 solutions, including IIoT and machine learning, to deliver scalable, network-wide control

Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and advanced process control.
• Degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics or physics.
• Familiar with IIOT sensor applications.
• Strong programming and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enhance smart control solutions for manufacturing performance.
• Provide technical oversight for process control implementation.
• Conduct data analysis to identify process variations and translate findings into control solutions.
• Define data collection requirements and integrate data in the E3 environment.
• Set analysis requirements, limits and OCAP; participate in reviews with the process control team.
• Develop and deliver training on control systems.
• Use AI to develop control systems for process management.
