Job summary

A leading company specializing in electricity distribution seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer. The role involves managing maintenance contractors, troubleshooting equipment failures, and ensuring compliance with safety rules. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years in the electric distribution network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of an electric distribution network.
• Registered with BEM.
• Registered with ST as a 33kV competent person is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Management and supervision of contractors for maintenance.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair primary equipment failures.
• Develop, implement, and review distribution maintenance procedures.

Skills

Proficient in MS Office

Proficient in AutoCAD

Excellent written and spoken English

Education

Job description

Maintenance of Distribution System Primary Assets

Management and supervision of contractors working on the maintenance of the distribution system.

Review, maintain asset records, and primary maintenance activities, including cable route records.

Monitor and analyze primary equipment performance.

Investigate, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair primary equipment failures.

Procure materials, spare parts, and services required for the operation and maintenance of the distribution primary system.

Liaise with network and operation control regarding primary equipment.

Coordinate with NUR Consultants and contractors involved in capital projects.

Communicate with customers and their representatives as required, including potential customers.

Collaborate with the engineering department on project commissioning and takeover matters.

Develop, implement, and review distribution maintenance procedures and standing instructions.

Manage and maintain distribution tools and equipment for primary equipment.

Ensure safe working practices and compliance with distribution safety rules.

Conduct safety audits.

Perform standby duties if required.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned in the interest of the company.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of an electric distribution network.

Registered with BEM.

Registered with ST as a 33kV competent person is a plus.

Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
