Job summary

HSBC Amanah Malaysia Berhad in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an ambitious Primary Banker to join our Islamic banking team. You will define, manage and achieve divisional business targets with colleagues to drive growth.

The role focuses on expanding the Retail Amanah business, building strategic relationships with customers, and delivering digital channel solutions in a Shariah-compliant framework. Strong advisory and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree required.
• With experience, minimum SPM with 5 credits.
• Licensing in wealth marketing such as PCE/TBE/CEILLI/FIMM is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of personal banking products.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow with Shariah knowledge.

Responsibilities

• To increase sales revenue of HSBC’s financial products via various sales activities.
• To build strategic relationships with existing and new customers.
• To conduct market reviewing and understand customer’s financial need and requirements.
• To promote and deliver our digital channel and Life Sign Technology to New to Bank or Existing to Bank customers.
• To share digital know-how to customers to create awareness and increase the adoption rate.
• To drive wealth referrals specifically investment needs to Premier colleagues.
• To ensure compliance with products and sales policies, procedures and guidelines set by the Bank and the relevant authorities are adhered and complied to at all times.
• Ensure high quality data input in customer records, transaction processing and reporting including but not limited to account opening, financing processing and other banking services.
• Grow the Retail Amanah business while upholding high integrity and ensure branch’s adherence to Shariah-compliant sales and service excellence.

Requirement:

• Candidates with no experience must at least possess Diploma/Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• With working experience in the related field, minimum SPM qualification with 5 credits is required for this position.
• Relevant licensing in marketing wealth products such as PCE/TBE/CEILLI/FIMM would be an added advantage.
• Good track record and knowledge of personal banking products i.e. Credit card, personal loan, fixed deposit;
• Strong interest in building relationships and providing financial solutions to customers
• Good inter-personal and communication capability
• Driven for success and eager to learn, grow, and thrive
• Conversant of Shariah knowledge and competency.
