Shangri-La Rasa Ria in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, invites applications for a Preventative Maintenance Associate to support engineering operations. The role covers electrical and mechanical systems, general maintenance, and collaboration with the engineering team to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Possess a relevant certification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic with a diligent and responsible attitude.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant working experience (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Due to local immigration policies, only Malaysian will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of hotel electrical and mechanical systems.
• Carry out general maintenance work, including carpentry, and painting.
• Ensure equipment reliability through preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Support planned maintenance activities and engineering operations.
• Work with engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve performance.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and procedures.
