Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a CNC Swiss-type machinist to set up, operate and maintain CNC Swiss-type auto-lathe machines with sub-spindle and power tools. You will program (G-code / CAM) and optimize machining processes, perform tool setting and offset adjustment, and troubleshoot to produce high-precision complex turned parts.

You will ensure quality, conduct machine maintenance, and support continuous improvement while collaborating with production and engineering teams.

Qualifications

Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2–3 years' experience in CNC Swiss-type machining.
Strong knowledge of programming and tool setting.
Experience with multi-axis and complex parts machining.
Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments.
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Swiss-type auto-lathe machines with sub-spindle and power tools.
Program (G-code / CAM) and optimize machining processes.
Carry out tool setting, offset adjustment, and troubleshooting.
Produce high-precision complex turned parts.
Ensure product quality meets specifications and standards.
Conduct machine maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with production and engineering teams.
