Job summary

Lam Research in Malaysia is seeking an assembler to join our Global Operations group. You will assemble electronic, electron-mechanical and mechanical components for wafer fabrication equipment in a lean clean-room, using schematics, hand tools and fixtures to ensure precise setup and mating.

You will work 12-hour shifts, adapt to changing priorities, train others, and uphold safety and quality standards while collaborating with various production teams.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of mechanical or related assembly experience.
• Degree or diploma in engineering or related field.
• Good verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install parts for wafer fabrication equipment using schematics and hand tools.
• Maintain workflow through flexible priorities and rework as needed.
• Inspect parts visually before installation and ensure correct delivery.
• Conduct leak checks and participate in audits as required.
• Cross-train across multiple work centers and mentor others.
• Provide clear production status and shift handoffs to stakeholders.
