Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Puchong is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to assist in pre-sales and project implementation. The role involves collaborating with sales and engineering teams to deliver suitable technical solutions that meet customer needs. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience with network systems, IT, and a degree in engineering. This position offers opportunities to work on innovative technology projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in network protocols including VLAN and LAN.
  • Experience with servers and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in scoping technical solutions for customer requirements.
  • Prepare costing based on system design.
  • Perform in-house and on-site testing for new products.
  • Coordinate with project teams for solution design.

Job description

Job Purpose:

1. Assist Pre-Sales, System Integration & Support Manager in supporting sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions.
2. Assist Pre- Sales, System Integration & Manager in collaborating with the sales, services, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting Sales & Marketing
• Assist in proactively scoping the technical solutions required to address qualifying customer requirements by performing site surveys, conducting meetings, securing input from all relevant stakeholders and recommend solutions that optimize value for both customer and the company.
• Assist in preparing costing based on system design.
• Assist in performing solution and product demonstration / proof of concept and technical clarification.

2. New Product Exploring and Testing.
• Perform in-house or on-site testing and commissioning for new hardware products and software
applications.
• Prepare user manual / configuration guidance to customer and internal technical staff for new hardware / software features.
3. Aid on Project Implementation
• Coordinate closely with the project team to align system solution design within customers’ requirements.
Prepare relevant documentation and drawing for T&C and handover purposes.

Requirements:

1) Minimum 2 to 3 years of the following experience:
• Knowledge in network and switches includes VLAN, Wireless, LAN, security system, VPN.
• Knowledge in IT includes servers and Operating System.
• Will be an advantage in knowledge of Security System includes CCTV, Access Control, and alarm system.
• Will be an advantage in knowledge of AutoCAD & Visio drawing.
• Will be an advantage in knowledge of programming and database.
• Will be an advantage in knowledge of Video Analytic, AI, loT.
• Will be an advantage in knowledge of Electronic &Electrical.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field /Advanced/Higher/Graduate/Diploma
