Job description

Company Background:

A leading manufacturer of prefabricated modular data center solutions, specialize in the data center and power systems industry. With R&D facilities in Shanghai and high-end manufacturing plants in Shanghai and Malaysia, it delivers innovative solutions for hyperscale data center projects globally. The company is located in Johor Bahru, and the actual working location is subject to the project.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design & Integration: Lead the integrated design of prefabricated LV/MV power and diesel generator containers for Tier III/IV data centers, ensuring high reliability and seamless system compatibility.
  • Switching & Redundancy: Engineer sub-10ms generator paralleling, ATS switching, and UPS/HVDC interlocks under 2N/DR/RR redundancy architectures.
  • Electrical & Thermal Design: Create system diagrams, 3D layouts (BIM), cable routing, and grounding; ensure optimal thermal and electrical performance under extreme loads.
  • Environmental Resilience: Design for harsh conditions including seismic (Level 8), typhoon (Level 14), and ingress protection (IP55+).
  • SCADA & Monitoring: Integrate SCADA systems (Modbus TCP/SNMP) for real-time monitoring of generator health, fuel levels, temperature, and emissions.
  • AI & Energy Efficiency: Develop AI-based energy management features to optimize load balancing and reduce PUE to 1.4.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support supplier evaluation, DFX, testing, documentation (DFMEA, SOP, BOMs), and process improvements across engineering, production, and quality teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related fields.
  • Around 5 years experience in data center / power station / generator is highly preferable; led project 1MW.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN / Leads / See, Revit (BIM); familiar with ETAP/SKM.
  • Familiar with A-Z generator system configurations (Caterpillar/Cummins/MTU), paralleling, and emission control, such as: ISO 8528, GB/T 2820, EPA Tier 4.
  • Familiar in environmental compliance, such as: China Stage VI / EPA Tier 4 emissions, 85dB noise, will be highly preferable.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.

Salary Range: RM9000 - RM14000
