Job summary

Agilent Technologies in Penang is seeking a highly motivated Power BI Developer to support financial analytics in FP&A. You will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards that translate complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders across Finance and business units.

The role requires 5–8 years of BI experience, strong Power BI, data modelling, and DAX skills, plus familiarity with SAP SAP HANA/SAP ECC, Snowflake, Fabric, and SQL databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (B-Tech / M-tech in Computer Science)
• 5–8 years of experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics
• Strong hands-on Power BI experience (mandatory)
• Data modelling and Power Query (M language)
• Advanced DAX, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor
• Experience with financial data (Revenue, Orders, P&L) preferred
• Knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP HANA, Snowflake, Fabric, SQL databases
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel (Power Query)
• Experience building enterprise dashboards and executive reporting
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy
• Excellent communication across global teams

Responsibilities

• Act as a business analytics partner to Finance and business teams, translating requirements into Power BI solutions
• Design and develop dashboards and reports for Orders, Revenue, Shipments, Backlog, and P&L analytics
• Build and optimize data models with relationships, calculated columns, and DAX measures
• Develop automated reporting frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability
• Integrate data from SAP ECC, SAP HANA, Snowflake, Fabric, Excel into Power BI datasets
• Create executive dashboards with storytelling, KPIs, and drill-down capabilities
• Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering for data pipeline alignment
• Improve performance via query optimization and incremental data refresh
• Support forecasting and variance analysis through visuals and insights
• Drive standardization and automation of reporting across units
• Provide user training and documentation for Power BI reports
