Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. in Penang is seeking a Post-Silicon Power and Performance Staff Engineer to validate and optimize power for custom silicon, coordinating with architecture, software, and manufacturing teams across sites.

The role requires leadership, deep hardware experience in x86/ARM/GPU power features, and strong data-analysis skills using Excel, Python, and PowerBI to drive tests from planning through post-silicon validation.

Qualifications

• Technical leadership of a large post-silicon validation and tuning effort.
• Direct technical experience working on CPU, APU, or GPU power or performance features.
• Experience analyzing data using Excel, Python, PowerBI, Sigma, or similar tools.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multi-site technical organization.

Responsibilities

• Own validation and tuning of power functionality and targets, collaborating with manufacturing and customer engineering to enable production.
• Develop deep expertise in existing and new power features for AMD products.
• Build relationships and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and guide them through post-silicon power attainment and optimization efforts.
