Job summary

AMD's Computing & Graphic group in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Post-Silicon Power and Performance Staff Engineer to drive power validation and optimization for CPU, GPU, and APUs. You will guide a team across architecture, software, and manufacturing, ensuring power targets are met for diverse customer use cases.

The role requires extensive data analysis and clear communication of results, with collaboration across global teams in Austin and Shanghai. This position is based in Penang.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience with power/performance metrics.
• Experience leading large post-silicon validation efforts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own validation and tuning of power functionality and targets with production teams.
• Develop deep expertise in existing and new power features for AMD products.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across architecture, software and manufacturing.
• Mentor junior engineers through planning and execution of post-silicon efforts.
