The Position
Have you ever wanted to shape a healthcare ecosystem to ensure access to innovative medicines? The Policy & Access Partner will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies that align our policy and access objectives with healthcare system priorities. This role will be accountable to ensure reimbursement of our existing and future medicines and involves engaging with external stakeholders, including policymakers, government agencies, and industry partners, to shape the healthcare landscape and create conditions for access to innovative medicines.

Access Strategy

  • Works in close collaboration with the ecosystems / communities to prepare analyses, develop and implement strategic operational plans to achieve optimal access / reimbursement for existing and launch products in both public and private sector (including brand and above brand integrated access strategies).

  • Leads and develops the strategy and positioning for the submission to payers; including determining and developing (where required) the pharmaco-economic analysis, financial impact analysis, inputting into the clinical portions, and overall accountability and writing of the overarching components / arguments.

  • Accountable for and leads team-based Performa submissions to state and national formularies, third party payers (private insurance), and other customers as required.Developing and produce value recognition messages, pricing models, pharmaco-economic analysis, financial impact analyses, quality-of-life research, etc.

  • Lead development and manage therapeutic specific health economics and health services assessments to support outcomes research and programs.
    Research projects strategy and programs for new and marketed products within defined therapeutic areas.

Pricing

  • Responsible to manage and maintain Good Pricing Governance on Roche brands and Roche Global Pricing Platform. Supports pricing strategy for new and in-market brands; ensuring brand value optimization for the respective ecosystem.

Policy & Advocacy

  • Lead policy system shaping and advocacy initiatives while working to build, maintain and manage external key stakeholders relations including politicians, healthcare providers, policy makers, payors, etc. to influence policy development.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across global, regional, and local policy priorities.

  • Partners with healthcare system stakeholders to drive healthcare system innovation and unlock possibilities to deliver value for the ecosystem and society.

  • Acts as trusted partner and the primary (but non-exclusive) point of contact between stakeholders and Roche. She or he shares the stakeholder community vision and value internally, prioritizes and secures resources, and drives solutions that deliver outcomes faster

Who You Are:

  • 5-8 years of relevant pharmaceutical experience, government affairs, public policy, health economics skills, as well as payer industry experience preferred.

  • Experienced in engaging key stakeholders in a matrix organization

  • Strong influencing skills and collaborative approach. Strong analytics, communication and business presentation skills.

  • University Degree (in sciences, political science, health economics, business public health) or similar.MBA an added advantage.
