Job summary

Nintex is seeking a Platform Engineer to join our Malaysia team. This hybrid role in the local Nintex office focuses on building and operating the platform, with strong emphasis on DevOps practices, automation, and reliable production systems.

You will work across Terraform-like IaC, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and security, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable infrastructure and ongoing improvements. Hybrid work-friendly, global perks apply.

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (Cosmos DB, Key Vault, networking, monitoring, identity).

• Ability to write clear documentation, post-mortems, and root-cause analyses.

About the role:

As a Platform Engineer at Nintex you are highly skilled in the technology stacks within your domain and bring strong working knowledge of tools and practices across the broader DevOps ecosystem. You will design and build code, testing, and operational solutions that incorporate monitoring, observability, and feedback loops to support reliable implementation and operation. You will lead the rollout of complex infrastructure components and act as a key contributor in the support and operation of critical production systems.

Your contribution will be:

• Contribute to long-term DevOps programs and core technologies.
• Design, build, and maintain tools and utilities that support and integrate with CI/CD pipelines, including appropriate telemetry and monitoring.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues in production environments.
• Actively build, shape, and promote infrastructure architecture patterns, standards, and best practices.
• Advocate for a strong DevOps culture at Nintex, bringing a DevOps mindset and perspective to all projects.
• Independently deploy medium to large infrastructure components to production using automation, while adhering to Nintex development and deployment guidelines.
• Write thorough post-mortems for infrastructure, pipeline, and automation incidents, including clear root cause analysis and preventative actions.
• Design and develop code and scripts with quality, maintainability, and reliability in mind, using appropriate tools and processes to ensure highstandards.
• Clearly explain DevOps concepts, patterns, and practices to other engineers, enabling them to contribute independently.
• Contribute to advanced DevOps initiatives such as continuous integration improvements, new infrastructure platforms, and automated incident mitigation.
• Embed security into every project by ensuring it is considered throughout design, implementation, and operational processes.
• Ensure all solutions adhere to Nintex guidelines for security, disaster recovery, scalability, availability, reliability, and durability.
• Improve existing development and operational procedures to maintain compliance with Nintex standards.
• Support other engineers in the design and delivery of complex enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to improve software development, delivery, and operational processes, and actively help drive those improvements.
• Apply appropriate DevOps patterns and practices to effectively solve development and operational challenges.

To be successful, we think you need:

• Proven experience working in a DevOps/ SRE/ Platform Engineering role, supporting complex, production-grade systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably in Azure, including services such as Cosmos DB, Azure Key Vault, networking, monitoring, and identity.
• Solid experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, including integration, automation, and observability.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code and automation tools, along with scripting or programming skills used to build operational tooling.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and pipeline issues in live production environments.
• A strong understanding of security best practices, including secrets management, least‑privilege access, and secure system design.
• Experience designing systems with scalability, availability, disaster recovery, reliability, and durability in mind.
• Ability to write clear documentation, post‑mortems, and root cause analyses that lead to meaningful improvements.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain DevOps concepts and patterns clearly to engineers with varying levels of experience.
• Comfort working independently on complex problems and making sound technical decisions.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations and contribute effectively during incident management.
• To be able to triage and resolve issues accurately and independently.
• Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to create prototypes and proof‑of‑concepts.
