Overview

Coordinate all plant operations to ensure customers are satisfied with the level of service provided. Assist Plant Superintendent in overseeing day-to-day plant operations including stock control, production of concrete, logistics planning and supervision of plant staff / truck drivers. Responsible for overall management and implementation of health, safety and environment (SHE) programs, and plan and target safety initiatives to improve work practices.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all plant operations to ensure customers are satisfied with the level of service provided.
  • Assist Plant Superintendent in overseeing day-to-day plant operations from stock control, production of concrete, logistics planning and supervision of plant staff / truck drivers.
  • Control costs within plants and operations to meet the budget.
  • Responsible for overall management and implementation of health, safety and environment (SHE) program. Plan and target safety initiatives to improve work practices.
  • Conducting trial mixes.
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance of the Plant machinery and moving vehicles with Logistics Department to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct checks on all raw materials delivered to the Plant and ensure quality is compliant with the requirements and monitor all raw materials stock in the batching plant.
  • Compliance with all SOPs and relevant statutory and company requirements in relation to management of environment (waste disposal, dust and noise) within permissible level.
  • Assist to promote an environment that creates ownership of health, safety and environment by employees, and ensure the development of safe working practices in all areas of operation.
  • Ensure safety in the workplace, and rectify hazards identified.
  • Assist in collection of DOs and submission to HQ in a timely manner.
  • Assist in preparation of production report and ensure all data are in order.
  • Work with Superior(s) to assess and develop plant employees, and develop motivation by setting achievable targets, providing feedback, coaching and counselling on performance.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
