We are Asia largest producer and fastest growing Bleaching Earth Clay Group Companies. Taiko Acid Works Sdn Bhd is highly effective adsorbent essential in the refining process for the purification and discoloration. We have eight manufacturing plants in three different countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

We now having a vacancy for a Plant Manager in our Sulphuric Acid Plant in Parit Buntar, Perak.

Job Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the overall operations of Acid plant, Alum plant & Sulphur Milling plant.

To lead and manage the production to ensure quality, output & efficiency targets are achieved.

Controlling the costs, process parameters and quality of production activities to meet budget, time & customer’s requirements.

To plan, organize, lead and control the manpower & equipment capacity to maximise utilization at optimum operation levels.

To review works order, monitor daily production and ensure sufficient stocks to meet production & delivery schedule.

To ensure the plant operation is running smoothly and comply to relevant rules and regulation.

To be responsible for the factory’s Safety & Health, Environmental compliances, licensing and statutory regulations. Participate and liaise with relevant authorities and bodies.

Involve in safety issues for the plant operation, ensure the safety procedures for personnel working in the plant are strictly adhered.

To be responsible for the operation, performance monitoring, maintenance, trouble shooting and up grading of the environmental control system (Bag Filter, Scrubber, Schedule Waste).

To participate with maintenance department in planning, budgeting, organizing resources, executing work plans, co-ordinates, priorities, resolves issues and participates in projects and work schedule as per assigned.

To generate production reports, update specifications and work procedures. Check the production daily reports and log sheet, analyse and compile weekly reports for management. Prepare monthly report on time for account closing.

To develop and oversee implementation of plant KPI as well as managing workforce recruitment and development in production.

To liaise & purchase equipment/spare parts for the plant use and ensure sufficient spare parts is available when needed.

To troubleshot plant’s equipment problem/failure, identify defects in the production line or abnormal in process operating parameter and provide solutions to the problem.

Work closely with QC department to review product consistency while monitoring defect/reject rates to determine trends and areas of improvement.

To monitor sufficient Raw Material stock for production.

To demonstrate good leadership skills and set up teamwork to resolve problems.

Involve in HR related issues for the plant operation such as duty roster arrangement and discipline of all production personnel. Coordinate the hiring and training of an employee. Analyse workforce requirements. Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all operations employees.

To establish, implement and maintain the plant activities, product and services on accordance with the standard requirement by each of the management system (ISO, HALAL, KOSHER, HACCP). To ensure that all the operations in the plants are following the SOP/WI as stated in each management system and its relevant statutory requirements are met.

To develop clean working environment and organize continuous housekeeping for plant/working area.

To ensure that overall activities are carried out professionally, ethically and in a timely manner.

To perform other duties and functions as directed by the Plant Manager or / and management.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum of 8-10 years’ related working experience with at least 2-3 years in a managerial position in a chemical process industry.

High result achievers who are analytical, independent and resourceful.

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Position is to be based in Parit Buntar, Perak.
