Job description

This position is based at Lot 764, Bidor Industrial Estate, 35500 Bidor, Perak. Multisafe Sdn. Bhd. is a subsidiary of Yee Lee Group and operates in the glove manufacturing industry.

Job Scope

Production Management

  • Develop and implement production plans to align with business objectives and customer demands.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, output quality, and adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Analyze production data and implement corrective measures to address inefficiencies.

Operational Excellence

  • Drive strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations.

Maintenance & Compliance

  • Supervise plant equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and enforce safety policies to create a secure working environment.

Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Prepare and manage the plant's budget, covering capital expenditures, operating costs, and labor expenses.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to analyze financial data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and forecast expenditures.

Quality Assurance

  • Design and implement quality control systems to meet established product standards.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to maintain high-quality production.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and enforce corrective actions to resolve product quality issues.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, supervisors, and production staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with senior management to define and execute the plant's long-term strategic vision.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.

Supply Chain & Inventory Management

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure raw material availability aligns with production schedules.
  • Manage inventory levels to balance cost efficiency with production needs.
  • Implement effective logistics and warehousing practices.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. A Master’s Degree or certifications in areas such as Lean Six Sigma or Project Management Professional (PMP) are an advantage.
  3. At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  4. Preferably experienced in the glove manufacturing or medical device industry.
  5. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
  6. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams.
  8. Proficiency in implementing lean manufacturing principles and using data-driven approaches to decision-making.
  9. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to dynamic situations.
