Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Kajang, Malaysia seeks a hands-on Maintenance cum Factory Resource Technician to keep our production lines running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot machinery, and support daily factory operations to ensure reliability and safety.

Fresh graduates are welcome. Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering is preferred, along with 1–3 years' experience and good problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Certificate or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in maintenance, engineering or manufacturing preferred.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and maintenance principles.
• Troubleshooting experience is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, sensors, pneumatic systems and mechanical components.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to respond effectively to urgent equipment breakdowns.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing/factory environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance, routine inspection and servicing of production machinery, equipment and factory facilities.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot machinery and equipment problems and carry out corrective actions.
• Identify root causes of equipment breakdowns and prevent recurrence.
• Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns and provide timely technical support.
• Assist engineers or supervisors in equipment maintenance, repair and improvement activities.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when specialized repair or maintenance is required.
• Monitor and manage spare parts, maintenance materials, tools, consumables and other factory resources.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, spare parts usage and servicing.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce breakdowns, and support related projects.
