Job description

Join IJM Group's Industry Division as a Plant Engineer where you'll leverage your technical expertise to develop client relationships, solve complex problems, and drive business growth for one of Malaysia's most respected companies.

Your Impact:

• Ensure sufficient manpower for daily production and attendance.
• Oversee batching plant operations and guide supervisors to meet targets for delivery schedule, monthly production, quality, and customer satisfaction through internal coordination.
• Maintain full compliance with production procedures and quality systems.
• Collaborate with QA/QC to plan, implement, review, and improve quality systems.
• Prepare and ensure proper implementation of Preventive Maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with Sales on customer complaints and delivery issues.
• Oversee workshop operations to address breakdowns promptly and monitor mechanic performance.
• Work with Purchasing and supervise workshop and plant mechanics to control maintenance costs.

What We're Looking For:

Must Have:

• Preferably 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented, strong negotiator, good problem solver.
• Occasional on-site visits to construction projects for compliance and progress monitoring.
• Familiarity with local, national, or international construction laws and regulations.
• Location: Senai, Johor.

Good to Have:

• Experience in construction or industrial equipment sales.
• Understanding of project management principles.
• Knowledge of industry procurement processes.
• Existing network of industry contacts.
