Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to manage multi-disciplinary construction project schedules across design, engineering, construction, commissioning and integration.

You will partner with stakeholders, evaluate schedule risks using S-curves and SRA, validate contractor timelines, and produce reports and KPI metrics. 10+ years' experience with data centers or high-tech facilities, Primavera P6 proficiency, and fluent English are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in scheduling and project planning.
• Experience with data centers or high-tech facilities.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify pull-in opportunities and mitigate delays.
• Evaluate schedule risks using S-curve analyses and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).
• Define critical paths and produce KPI metrics, lookahead reports and progress indicators.
• Establish and enforce Schedule Change Control processes.

Job Description

• Manage multi-disciplinary construction project schedules including design, engineering, construction, Commissioning and integration of contractor’s schedule
• Partner with key stakeholders including facility owners and global supply management and site construction contractors, etc to look for pull in opportunities
• Work directly with the schedulers from the various general contractors & design build teams to evaluate and monitor schedule risks using Earned Value Method (S curve) Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) or other industry widely accepted approach
• Define and analyze Project critical paths across all schedules and project stages and be able to produce reports, KPI metrics, float trends, lookahead reports, etc.
• Facilitate interactive planning and schedule review sessions with the project team as well as key stakeholders to walk through the critical path, showcase the critical activities and work with team to mitigate schedule delays
• Identify critical milestones from overall schedule
• Validate Contractor approaches/schedule's logic, duration and activities while measuring and reporting of progress against schedule including analysis of project documents to identify potential project impacts
• Consolidate progress reports for management review including preparation of appropriate project schedule indicators.
• Establish, implement and adhere to Schedule Change Control process including review and agreement of impact of project and scope changes to ensure control is incorporated in the overall project schedule and progress measurement system.
• Accumulate and access historical data for use in maintaining realistic future planning and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in project management, engineering or similar function.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in scheduling, project planning, preferably with data center or high-tech semiconductor background.
• Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 software and overall schedule understanding.
• In-depth knowledge of construction sequences of data centre (CSA and MEP) and able to both challenge the General Contractor in their construction timeline and proactively advocate for more efficient construction methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and high pressure environment, to meet often tight deadlines, and to work pro-actively as part of a committed team
• Working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office suite of products.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
