Job summary

UMECH CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD is seeking a capable Project Controls Engineer to oversee weekly and monthly progress reporting for large-scale infrastructure projects in Malaysia. You will prepare baseline schedules, S-curves, resource histograms, and revised work plans, monitor critical activities, and liaise with subcontractors to align with the contractors' work programme.

Candidates hold a civil engineering degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with Primavera P6 proficiency and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• 3–5 years of direct experience in heavy civil, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 for scheduling.
• Ability to prepare and maintain project schedules and baselines.
• Experience with progress monitoring and updating schedules.
• Understanding of critical path, float, WBS, milestones, and activity relationships.
• Ability to prepare weekly/monthly progress reports.

Ensure that project controls documents such as resources histogram, schedule, reporting systems, material interfaces are properly addressed.

Job Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum 3 to 5 years of direct experience in heavy civil, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in Primavera P6

Ability to prepare and maintain project schedules and baselines

Experience with progress monitoring and updating schedules

Understanding of critical path, float, WBS, milestones, and activity relationships

Ability to prepare weekly/monthly progress reports

Must have initiative and able to work independently.
